The Return of Embroidery | High-Street Top Picks

Flat shoes: ASOS | Jeans: GLAMOROUS | Bag: RECLAIMED VINTAGE | Bikini: RIVER ISLAND | Shorts: TOPSHOP
It's official, embroidery has been given an SS16 makeover, and its back with a vengeance. Its been observed at the likes of Alexander McQueen through loudly-embellished denim, as can be seen above, and also most beautifully featured at the ever-exquisite Dolce and Gabbana through the likes of crystallised bustiers.

The high-street, like always, has taken note, and as a high-street lover, I couldn't be happier with the results! My personal favourite is the Glamorous embroidered slim-fit jeans, after seeing them on blogger after blogger, I can't wait to snap up a pair and jump on the embroidered bandwagon! And at £30 for a pair, they're a steal.

If you're like me, you tend to let one item of clothing do the talking and dress it down with a basic white tee, which is what I'll be styling the Glamorous jeans with. However, feel free to fully embrace the embroidered trend through mixing and matching different floral patterns. I'm heading to Greece at the end of this month and am very tempted to style an embroidered bikini with embroidered denim shorts, as can be seen above.

Embroidery is so versatile that it has even been extended to accessories. These ASOS velour-like loafers remind me so much of blogger pioneer Chiara Ferragni's range of embellished shoes, but at a fraction of the price tag. Not forgetting the staple shoulder bag which is always popular at festivals, the retro-vibe of the Reclaimed Vintage number above really does jazz up a staple Summer accessory.

Let me know what you guys think on this feminine, but also daring, trend!
