LFW Day 2 | Minki Cheng // Omer Asim

Minki Cheng
In my opinion, presentations are completely underrated compared to shows, and this Minki Cheng collection epitomises this. The oceanic theme, emphasised by texture and colour, was balanced out by monochromatic touches. My personal favourite is the contrast of the silver foil-textured skirt with the cobalt fluffy jumper. The accessories were the biggest statement for me, from the oversized silver hoop earrings, to the simple wavy hair tied back with a silver clip, again to tie in with the metallic theme, and not forgetting the khaki sock combined with the silver strappy heels.

Omer Asim
After seeing this presentation, I am obsessed with these messy braids, I have a lot of baby hair myself which has been the bane of my life (well my hair anyway), so it's the perfect excuse to embrace it, I'm thinking of maybe at a festival? I especially like the thread woven into the plaits, to tie in with the colour scheme. The minimalism in Asim's A/W16 collection was so striking, complimented by a variety of textures, from pleats to ribbing to jersey rollnecks.
