LFW Day 1 | Eudon Choi // Daks // David Ferreira

Eudon Choi
My first show of the season (LFW A/W16) was Eudon Choi, and what a way to start! I simply loved the mixture of print and simplicity, with abstract polka dot patterns being broken up by warm colours of camel and burgundy shades. Oh and don't even get me started on the Dior-esque sock book (you'll know I'm a fan from a previous blog post), I especially loved the lilac and black combination which can be so easily styled with a pair of 90s kick-flares.

The Daks show really was a Gothic renaissance on a major scale, held at the ultra-suave Langham Hotel in high-end Fitzrovia. From the lace details, to the feathered trims, to the silk top-hats, Gothic inspiration was apparent across the entire A/W16 collection. The check pattern stood out amongst the predominantly dark colour palette, and I especially loved the merge of menswear and womenswear. Oh and it was very exciting to spot cast members of Made In Chelsea on the frow also.

David Ferreira
Of complete contrast to the Daks show was the David Ferreira show held at Fashion Scout in Freemasons Hall, a show displaying upcoming talent so if you can't get tickets for high-profile shows I would definitely recommend Fashion Scout as these designers could eventually become the high-profile ones. Ferreira's A/W16 collection was all about 3 motifs: structure, volume and texture. Just liked Daks featured feathered trims, so did Ferreira but in pastel pink and raspberry red hues, as opposed to black. You'll also notice on my Instagram that I was also sporting raspberry red feathers on the final day of LFW.
