Day 4 of LFW | Peter Pilotto // Joseph // Ashish // Niro Wang

Peter Pilotto
Peter Pilotto, closely followed by Mary Katrantzou, is my all-time favourite print designer so you can imagine my excitement when I found out I had an invitation, and the print designs definitely didn't disappoint. Just like McQueen, the collection was dominated by metallics, but Pilotto has also combined this with chunky knits and geometric patterns. The colour scheme was truly to-die-for!

Joseph
From Peter Pilotto, it was straight onto Joseph, which couldn't be more different. Joseph has always resembled simplicity and tailoring, and the A/W16 collection was no exception. My personal favourites were the terracotta velvet trousers, and the perspex green midi skirt combined with the oversized graphic-embroidered jumper. I can't wait to style leather and knits together once Autumn comes around. In terms of hair and beauty, my eyes were drawn to the crimped hair, balanced by minimal make-up.

Ashish
Now I hate to be biased but I'm going to come out and say it, Ashish HAS to be my favourite show of every season, and A/W16 was no exception. The garments and afros formed a perfect rainbow of beautiful hues, which complimented and contrasted each other perfectly. The 70s inspired music throughout the show also had the audience, and the models, getting in the groove and I felt like I was at thrown back in time to a retro party. I was grinning from ear to ear the entire show and my feelings were representative of the entire audience with everyone whooping and cheering. Ashish Gupta you did it again my friend!

Niro Wang
For day 4, it was back to Freemasons Hall for Fashion Scout to see the Niro Wang and I just thought that the prints were just adorable. A nature theme was apparent across the entire show from the garments, to the set (cardboard cut out animals) to the music (farm noises playing just before the show started, which sounds bizarre but it worked effectively). Wang's prints are definitely ones to watch.
